Thank you.

Thank you everyone for the Facebook, Friendster and MSN messages. Among the messages, one monkey really asking to get whacked :p lol

Thank you to my ex-Caregroup members for the 10-minute phone call, where you guys sang Happy Birthday in 3 languages, taking turns to wish and check on me.

Thank you Ben for that belated phone call conversation, which was therapeutic indeed (though I missed your intended birthday wish the night before, sorry for disturbing your sleep).

Thank God, that despite gaining weight at the end of last year, despite being able to complete only 1/3 of the jogging track before needing to slow down and take a short rest (in my hometown park for the past few weeks, the track is say, approximately 1.5km long?) - today, despite feeling not so well / half-dead / tired and wanting to stop, for the 1st time since primary school, I pressed on to finally complete the entire jogging course non-stop.

Season of giving

October was Appreciation month for church leaders. In conjunction with that and Christmas (CG and CF), I decided to break out of the norm of sending cards or buying presents.

Esther (Anna's sister): With so many Christmas gifts to wrap, I think I can open a gift wrapping shop already.
Me: In that case, I think I can open a gift making shop too.
p/s: Thanks Ben for the inspiration (ehem.. stolen idea :p) behind the bottle gifts lolz

Christmas celebration - My Hope

On Christmas eve, we had a student caregroup celebration at one of the sister ministry house, everyone is invited. (According to Joseph, brothers also got our own programme, it's called closed house. Nobody is invited. *sweat*)

Anyway, the highlight was the Christmas celebration for Hope KL (PJ, KLCC and Serdang centres combined at Menara Yayasan Tun Razak). Following are photos from them.

Jingle bell rock by Hope Serdang dance team.
Children performance to the song 'We are the reason' by Avalon
Chinese church dance and singing performance
Helena with our visitors from Klang (from far end - Sze Kian, Jamie, Jessica, Lay Sin)
Me with the guys
Sister posers
I didn't know Jessica was a fan of me, since she took photos 4 times with me :p lolz (control, control.. haha)
Ya, I know I suggested this pose. I dragged Chloe (ACL beside me) into it also :p
As usual, no event will be complete without something ridiculous by none other then yours truly
Look! 3 headed monkey! (borrowed from Eve :p)

Kuching sightings uncensored

Was buying some tuak (Sarawak rice wine), when spotted this - of all the brands to give your alcohol drink :p

I think it has become a habit of me that I just couldn't resist doing something stupid everywhere I go (anyway who cares, not many people from Kuching knows me right? :p), so after we finished eating Sarawak 'kolo mee' at one of da stalls, I collected everybody's bowls, stacked them up for this pose :p

And the best part? This old couple was sitting beside our table. Watching their reaction (*stared at us, sweat and jaw dropped*): PRICELESS lolz (think they lost their appetite later and the uncle went on to spill his coffee..)

More convention photos coming up..

To start off the New Year

Ever tumbled unexpectedly into a valley, made it through bruised and battered, with many lessons learnt, greeted by a beautiful sight, only to realise that the only thing lying in the way up ahead is a tall, rocky mountain shrouded in the mist?
