Brokez..

My monthly allowance: $1300
My glasses fell into the river during Easter Camp at Great Ocean Road, make new one (dare not tell parents to ask for more money): $400 (crazy)
$1300 - 400 = $1100

My accomodation rental plus internet for last month which i just paid: $590
$1100 - 590 = $510

Borrowed some money from friends: $200
$510+200 = $710

Gold Coast - Brisbane - Cairns trip cost: $1400 (about $450 paid using credit card. so that leaves $950)

Received extra $355 (after some bad scolding from parents)

$710 + 355 - 950 = $115

Miscellaneous costs in Melbourne a few days before trip (ie meals, public transport etc): $50
Taxi from Melbourne airport: $10 per person (4 0f us)

$115 - 50 - 10 = $55

Freddo gelato ice cream and dinner just now: $12.20 (i know what you think, but this is really worth it!)

$55 - 12.20 = $42.80 (this is to last until 24 July, ie 15 days)

people i owe money to
friends: $200
july bible conference: $30
cell group food and petrol monthly costs: $10

Monash invoice: additional $100 since they undercharged the internet bill last month

you do the math..

Conclusion: will try to survive on instant noodles, 60-cents pasta, canned soup and bread with tuna for the next 2 weeks..

true..all of this would not have happened if:
1. i can cook to save money (still learning)
2. i manage to get a job (easier said than done)
3. skip the 1-week trip to Cairns and only go to Gold Coast (but since i'm in Australia for 1 year only, why not make the most of it?)
4. told parents about my specs so that they compensate me (i'm not rich, and i hate getting scolded kau kau):p
so there..
but seriously..the next 2 weeks of suffering (and dieting) is worth it for the sake of the 10-day trip..lolz

Emmmm..
Well, it's good to learn to cook! :)

I guess by the end of 2 weeks u'd find 101 ways to eat pasta and tuna

today's masak-masak dinner:
- 1/3 packet of 500g pasta
- can of tuna (lemon and pepper, don't like it actually..)
- 1 tablespoon of spicy XO sauce
- a bit of garlic, cooking oil, light soya sauce, dark soya sauce, sweet chilli sauce and pepper

1. Boil pasta for 10 minitz and drain.
2. Heat some oil in pan. Brown garlic and throw in everything before adding pasta. Stir fry.
3. Serve. Conclusion: tastes funny..hopefully won't end up goin to the toilet..
